Every single time I paint for IMALIVE, I freeze. Because I know where these paintings are going. I know who’s going to see them. And I know they’re going to be seen by so many people.
When I paint for myself, it’s for myself. And when I share pics as I go, it feels like I’m sharing with friends.
We all have these moments of stage fright. The moments that our lizard brains, our most primitive selves, approach with fear and a sense of our imminent demise.
The trick with these moments is to do them anyway.
Plug your nose. Hold your breath. Aaaaaaaaaaand jump!
Because not doing this stuff? The big, hairy, scary stuff? So not an option.
