Self Portrait Of The Artist

I spent a full day or more on this painting. Starting out in dark colours. Layering. Feeling my way. Getting the sense of walking out from the darkness into the light.

The photos don’t do this justice. Gold paint runs through it. Texture has been combed in and painted on and molded. An iridescent layer of varnish makes the whole piece feel alive.

I call this a soul painting, a self portrait, because underneath the incredibly layered white, the neon pink pulses through. Raw and intense but always a part of the whole. My raw self coming through.

This beautiful, textured abstract painting measures 36″x36″x2″ in size. It’s acrylic mixed media on gallery board. Ready to hang unframed (will need wire) or can be framed first.

Please note that I no longer offer framing services.
